Compliance- & Risk Management: top priority on the agenda of management and directors

For a long time, the assessment of risks has been an essential part of the managerial tasks. Originally it was mainly about market risks such as new competitors, new products, exchange rate and interest developments or changing customer profiles. Since the mid-nineties, the care for quality, labour conditions and the environment have been added to that. Traditionally, Rolebased Access Control is an IT-Tool to simplify the allocation of access rights and through that, save time and costs. It is a long time since the access right management was the sole field of activity of IT-Security administrators. Unit- or department managers, process owners, information security officers, controllers and HRM-employees want to have an insight into the granted access rights and have a hold on that. They put the why-question at the focus: are the granted rights logical from the tasks, responsibilities and authorities of the employee? The O|Rbac-toolset allows organizations to get grip on the use of IT-resources from organizational requirements and wishes.
